What Causes Jaw Pain?
December 29, 2017
Jaw pain is usually caused by dental problems although it can occasionally have medical reasons. If jaw pain is painful, persistent or recurring, the first thing to do is to schedule an appointment with your dentist to have the cause of the problem evaluated. In many cases, the condition is treatable.
Causes of jaw pain include:
– Teeth grinding
– TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder)
– Gum disease
Jaw pain can be avoided to a large extent by “regular dental check-ups” and a more comprehensive list of causes and cures can be found at https://www.rd.com/health/conditions/causes-of-jaw-pain/.
