Jamie Dury
Practice Principal / Dentist - GDC 271399
Originating from Cornwall Jamie moved to Newcastle to study Dentistry graduating in 2017. He finished his foundation training in York and during this time he won a nationwide competition for outstanding care and skill placing restorative fillings, endodontics, dentures and crowns.
Since then he has further developed his skills through numerous postgraduate courses in crowns, veneers, short-term orthodontics and composite bonding. He now primarily focuses on placing implants and has undertaken intensive postgraduate training, including travelling to Brazil to learn from implantologists there.
Jamie and Jarlath took over the practice from Union Quay Dental in 2025 and are delighted to be able to serve the people of North Shields by providing high quality dental care using state of the art technology in the beautiful Irvin Building.
Jamie takes pride ensuring that he is approachable, understandable and relatable to his patients.
In his spare time, Jamie likes to keep active and is signed up this year to take part in The Wall ultramarathon and is also planning a triathlon in Amsterdam.
